Privacy

There are no accounts and nothing to buy, so there is little to collect. Here is all of it.

Analytics

Pages load Google Analytics, which records page views, approximate location and device type and sets its own cookies. Google's opt-out add-on stops it, as does any content blocker.

Server logs

The web server logs requests (page, time, IP address, browser) for a short period to diagnose problems. Logs are not combined with anything else.

Map tiles come from other servers

Course maps are drawn in your browser from tiles it fetches directly: the base map from OpenFreeMap, aerial imagery from the US Geological Survey, terrain from Amazon Web Services' public terrain tiles, and course geometry from this site's own storage. Each of those servers sees your IP address and the tiles you requested, which reveals roughly which course you looked at, under their own policies.

Your location

“Near me” asks the browser for your position and sends it to this site once to find courses within 50 miles. It is not stored.

Contact form

What you type in the contact form, with your name and email, is emailed to the people who run the site so they can reply. It is not used for anything else and never sold.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13 and knowingly collects nothing from them.
